Can't find Google duo Sony Xe85 series

Hi,
I learnt that Google duo is installable on Android TV versions 8.0 or later. My XE8596 is running Android 9.0 but the duo app doesn't show up in the play store.

Anyone experience this and know how I could fix this?

Are you certain? I couldn't find it listed on the official list from Google in this article.

I don't see the app nevertheless, and i can't see why it isn't supported.
Would have been a useful way to do video calling, but if it doesn't work
then I suppose I'm stuck with using my phone.

According to Sony support, you'll need to contact the devs directly (from the Google Play store listing, using a supported device) to find more info about that.

I had pretty much given up on this, but as you've invested some time
researching, I have tried to contact Google about this. Their support email
on the app store listing is defunct, but I was able to ask a question in
the community:
