KDL-32WE613 No picture, only sound

The picture went off. Tried switching off etc. Can't do a factory reset as no picture! NB Has been on 24 hours a day for a couple of years.

Update. I switched the tv on again after a couple of hours, and there was the picture. Hurray I thought, but 5 minutes later it went off again, sound is ok. Weird.

Not a common consumer user scenario I should say it seems simply that some hardware component failed, not something that a community could solve
