My earphones was working fine on my xperia M4 Aqua till today when I tried to use my earphones it worked with only one ear. I tried these earphones with my laptop and both ears worked. I also tried other earphones and had the same issue. I looked inside the headphone jack with a flash light and didn't find anything strange like dust. If it needs replacement please tell me where to go, how much will it take or how much will it cost. Note, My device is still in the warranty period.

The only place to go would be you Local support who will evaluate and fix the device if needed, good luck.

Hi @Headphonejack,

I'm sorry to hear this.

This sound to be related to the hardware in your device. As @Viridis already suggested, I recommend that you get in contact with your Local support for assistance with having your device sent in to an authorized service center for repair.

Let me know how it works out!

Now there is something. when I put the earphone in the jack now none of them works but when I force the headphone in the jack it works as I am pressing when i stop pressing it doesn't recognize it. And I would like to know whether the device will remain water resistant after the repair.

It's not a hardwere problem.
I've the same issue, using an app called SoundAbout I can make the headphones work.

It's a software issue, and you guys on Sony are turning a blind eye on it!

Cheers.

Install SoundAbout, it will sort it... but you need to turn it on and off 😕
