I have solved the problem by downgrading to the jellybean or you can go to your mobile provider to give you another sim, that may help.

Hello,

Please try the following if you haven't done it already.
1.Back up the data you want to keep.

2.Do a factory reset and choose erase internal memory

3.Run a repair using Sony update service or Sony PC companion
4.Again run a factory reset and choose >erase internal memory

5.Transfer backed up data

If this doesn't help go check with your local operator.

Got the same problem, but I don't want to downgrade, I want to have KitKat on my phone... If you have your old sim card, use it, it works, but I noticed it works a bit slower with the old sim card... I hope the problem will be solved soon... I was always loyal to Sony, but, I had a problem with my Sony Arc S, that was never solved, and if they don't solve this either, maybe we should consider switching to another manufacturer...

Who knows... Maybe they are trying to find the solution and will tell us what to do when they also figure out what to do, or maybe they just want to see how many of us have this problem, and assess, will they ignore the problem or deal with it... All in all, they should atleast let us know if they are looking into the problem or not...
For now I'm using my old sim card, but, I don't like the performance of the phone with it, it's a bit laggy...
So, for now, the solutions are: either use an old sim card, if you got one, or downgrade to Jelly Bean 4.3...

I got some news, and it ain't good.

1. I've resent the question about the KitKat, and they just sent me response, how to repair my phone via pc companion. I've said that I have done that twice the same day the problem occured. I asked if and when is the KitKat gonna get an update for this error, nothing yet.
2. And more important, in my country, they withdrew all remaining M2-s, and now, they are reselling them as a phone that CAN'T BE UPGRADED TO KITKAT. This info isn't confirmed yet, but I will find out soon enough if this is true. And if it is true, I will return my phone as it is faulty, buy a Samsung or HTC or something that works.
And of course, I will publish in my blog, and tell everyone I know, that they never should buy Sony, any products. Someone wrote hier, this isn't support forum, this is a joke... that's true...
Good luck to ya all...
