Nothing shows up in the gallery

Im using an Xperia mini pro which I bought a month ago. It's been woking fine till yesterday. From today morning I cant see anything in the gallary. Its just blank with a blured background. It shows "loading files and albums" then nothing happens. It has an SD card (sandisk 4GB). I checked by connecting to laptop. The files are intact. The music player works fine and it plays music from the SD card. But nothing shows up in the gallery. Tried clearing gallery cache and data from application manager. Restarted the phone several times but no hope. All the files can be seen when the phone is connected to the laptop. Any help would be great. Please give step- by- step instruction to fix it. oops , clearing data is unsuccessfull
i think next step is to repair your software or factory data reset

but before that check one more thing, unmount sd card(settings>privacy) and then switch off mobile and take sd card out of mobile and then reinsert it and switch on your mobile and see if gallery works

if not then -

Update/Repair your phone via PCC OR SUS

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to). Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

Nabeelraza, I tried removing and inserting the SD card and its not working. Theres a progress though. I unchecked the "data enabled" option in the Settings>> Wireless & network>> Mobile Network settings. Then opened the gallary again. Then all photos and videos can be seen. Now the internet connection is disabled. i just want to know if there any way to rectify it without repairng the phone. I tried the PC companion to repair and it says it will overwrite all personal data. There is a multitude of photos and videos in the SD card and i dont want to lose them. Thanks

SD card won't be affected... only phone memory will be erased

To be on the safe side, remove SD card before updating

Beside clearing data, there is no other way to rectify it.. because its a software glitch and can be corrected only by repairing phone's software

Solution for the Problem, if you cant see your photos in the Photo Album/Photo Gallery.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO >>>
Do a Factory Data Reset,
OR
Switch off the mobile, remove the SD card, reinsert the SD card, switch on the mobile,
OR
Update/Repair with Sony PC Companion/Sony Update Service.
Do what I tried and it worked a 100 percent for me!!!
Settings > Apps > Album > Clear Cache + Clear Data + Uninstall Updates > Switch off > Switch on the mobile.
Reinstall Updates > Sony Update Centre (on your mobile desktop) > Updates > Album(6.2.A.0.22) > Touch the half circle with an arrow(on the top right hand corner). After the Updates are complete > Switch off and Switch on the mobile.
Thats it. You are done.
