Johan,

When the buggy 4.0.3 was released, there was (a lot of) suspension. However, SI updates were quick.

The 4.0.4 update was just as quick.

How come this .587 update takes a long time, and the latest was on 4th Sept?

UPDATE:

And oh great, you viewed the Neo V update post and released SIs to .587, dated 9/4/2012 (4th Sept 2012). Thanks a lot by keeping us waiting.

Wait...

9/4/2012....

Are YOU trying to HIDE the FACT that YOU failed to RELEASE the next updates since that DAY?

Now the point is...Are they really listening to our feedback?

Do this forum owners are reporting these feedbacks to their developers apart from giving the most diplomatic answers...??

Hello support team,

Now respond to this thread atleast with your diplomatic answers :@

See, the point of my post is, how are other phone giants able to update their phones to latest firmwares, even with non-AOSP support?

Yet again, I do hope you understand why I can't make any comments on how other companies run their operations. I can of course share with you all the available information about our updates and the process. Which I have done in the post that mysteriously got deleted (but this is now being checked by forum web support).

So XperiaNeoVSG I hope you understand that I won't be able to answer on why we don't run our operations just like the others. My main purpose here is to identify problems and report them and of course to give as much support as possible.

No decision has been made yet about Jelly bean for 2011 phones.

If you read my last post again you can see why I'm here and what my purpose is. Of course I try to share all available info with you guys. And I know that you all are wondering when is ICS going to be available for my device. I understand you and that you want to know. The thing is that many software customizations are being used and all of the scripts needs approval from both Google and operators. And when a script gets approved it will make it to the SI list. We can therefore only communicate when a roll out of scripts begin and since there are many different customizations and local adaptations we're not able to look into the process for each and every script.

In short, I will unfortunately not be able to tell when a specific SI will get added to the list.

Nor can I comment on how other manufacturers run their operations.

Yes... I agree but as you said once the update is developed then you can tell that update is being rolled out from a particular date. But what is the need of the carrier approval for a sim-free phone which was bought in India??

Do you have a answer for this question as you are diverting the matter into the approvals??

If you read my last post again you can see that all scripts needs approval. Non locked or non branded phones doesn't need operator approval. If the script is ready, it still needs to be approved by Google also.

I'm not hiding nor diverting anything.
