Sony pc companion menu is not displaying

Hi,

I am using Sony Xperia S mobile phone. I have installed SONY PC Companion. When I open the PC companion in my laptop, the phone is detected and connected, but the menu for contact,transfer data, media and synchronization is not dispayed.

Kindly advise how to bring the menu in the sony pc companion.

First try to uninstall PC Companion and then update or reinstall your Java to the latest version. Now install PC Companion again. Make sure you logged in as local admin on your PC as well.

I can't even uninstall PCC plz sort out my problem, the PCC is'nt uninstalling and it says that a fikle is open somewhere, whereas no files are opened I restarted my system but the problem remains .. plzz help

restart your PC > F8 > safe mode > admin account > uninstall PCC

Thank YOu for your response, but I tried your given method and there is no F8 thing hapenning just two options i.e, F2 & F12, if you anything about this please let me know. Thank You !!

Open Task Manager - There are several ways to do this depending on your operating system

Once open click on the tab Processes as below in the image then look for and follow the instructions in the image to close the application then try uninstalling PCC

Press F8 whilst the PC is booting and it will bring up the option to boot into safe mode

I got a new sony xperia C. I have installled PC companion, phone is detecting but no menu is shown.

hello, i have vaio with win 7- 64 bit and Z1 smart phone, i uninstaled java and PCC, reinstalled them in order but still i can not see the menu, phone is detecting but no menu please help.
