Xperia P Jelly Bean Update Failed

I updated my xperia p to jellybean using the PC Companion sofware. After PC companion showed the update is finished, I disconnected and booted my xperia p. But the phone doesn't boot beyond the loading screen (a colorful image than goes from left to right). The phone is stuck up on this screen.

Please advice what i can do in this case.

Connect your phone a wall charger and leave it. Some time the OS repartitions the internal storage. It takes time. For some its about 2 mins and in few cases it takes hours. May be one of them. Just leave it charging and see what happens.

Did your problem got solved. After how long the update got completed?

I am facing the same issue. The update is running for 3 hours. Nothing is happening.

I switch the mobile off and then re updated using Update service software instead of PC Companion.

Everything was fine then.

When you switched the mobile off and restarted did it start with ICS OS smmothly, or you had to tweek it?

I am afraind I will loose all data if I restart my mobile now.... 😞

First when i updated through PC Companion, update was completed sucessfully. But the problem was when i switched on first time after this udpate it was Jelly Bean, but got stuck up while booting. It was stuck at the colorful image that goes from left to right after the XPERIA logo screen. I waited for alomst one hour still of no use. So i switched off and then again using Update Center I again updated.

I lost my applications, but all the data like contact, songs, videos, albums were intact.

I have updated xperia p Jelly Bean successfully its working better than ics.

I think u guys are not updating it properly .

em updating my xperia p without pc companion. i tried updating using "update center"... it updates till 99% but unfortunately it fails @ 99%... Please help.. tried wifi and data both..

Reinstall PCC,install latest version of java,make sure the firewall does not block the application.
