My Xperia sp was stupendous before I updated to 4.3, it was fast and smooth and never froze. Now, it just keeps freezing at everything I do! It takes ages opening every app andI have to keep emergency shutting down!
Here's what I have tried:
Getting a 32gb sd card and moving as much data as possible to it (I couldn't move the apps)
Disabling Google Chrome
Removing the cache of my apps
Is there anything else that could possibly help? And why is it so slow on 4.3?

4.3 needs more RAM than previous versions. You should restart the phone regularly.Maybe try a software repair.

I have the same problem with my phone. Can anyone tell me what's the point of releasing an update for a phone with this amount of RAM which need it so much that this practically makes my phone useless? Does the people who done this, didn't even check this or what?!?!?!?

I think the Android community in general needs to come up with better testing methods. Sony are not the only ones to release dodgy updates. It's not doing the platform's reputation any good.

I am really disgusted with this. To release an update that will turn good phones into useless bricks is worse than foolish. I really want to revert to the old version of OS, but I cannot do that if it means invalidating the warranty. What should I do?

After another long chat with my phone supplier (Orange in the UK), I'm delighted to say that I'm receiving a new SP tomorrow - preloaded with the OLD operating system. This is a known fault with the new release of OS - it takes up too much memory for SPs. How Sony could release an OS for phones that would cause this kind of issue, I do not know!

Thanks for that, GreekXperiaSp - as you can see, I've just had a long talk with my supplier, and they're doing all they can to fix by replacing the handset. I cannot risk the warranty because voiding it would muck up my chances of getting the phone replaced. Crazy situation, though.

I tried to reflash it, I don't know if I voided the warranty or not, I put it all like before with PC Companion.

Hi Everyone!

I have a similar problem. I have Android 4.3 (Ver.: 12.1.A.1.207) installed. When it was fresh updated, it worked nice. I avoid to install too much apps so I cared about its internal memory. Despite of my care it slowed down. Sometime i cant pick up my phone, because the pick up slider has a huge lag or I cant stop my alarm because it hes a huge lag. And the most annoying thing when I cant decrease the volume without lagging.

Could you help me to solve the described problem? I would be very grateful.
