turned off charging black screen

Hi . i have latest version by Update Service on my Xperia SP and did factory reset but there is problem yet : when my device turned off and plug in charger, device shows black screen! (image below) why ? is it another problem of 4.3 ?

No. original charger and cable . i see this problem in some Xperia SP in Iran and Persian Forums that they have same problems with xperia SP too . they say flash device using flashtools instead of update service and OTA because they cause bugs ! also i called Sony Guaranty in Iran and they say don't update by update service ! and come device to Sony office to flash it to solve some problems like heating and ... i don't know the difference . what is different between ways ? they all use same firmware

And how did you update?With the update engines from sony or with a flashtool?

I am also experiencing similar problem, but not always..pressing the on/off button got no effect..After 10 min or so, that got resolved automatically..It's not that. Initially the battery was totally empty..

Yep. That's how it is - for me, too (and for others).

The nicities of the 4.3 update - black screen on charge, LEDs lighing during call, messed up themes. Happens to many and no matter the reset/update/restore steps, it is still there.

its a bug that some times appear when charging phone when its off after 4.3

simply it wont show battery charging animation

@Persian: it is a well known bug which appeared after update to Android 4.3. You can't do anything about it. Because of this bug I'm charging my mobile phone when it is switched on to see when it reaches 100% of battery capacity.

And another thing. I can't beleive what I just read / saw. One of the moderators asking: "This is strange.Did you try another charger?". There are so many messages written on this board about charging bugs and he still asks silly questions after all we wrote about this problem! Where have you been all this time?

Rickard: there are many more phone builds affected, not just one. And it is a software problem. It exists in CE3 software (in my case) and not in CE1 (which I also tried):

Its better to open pinned post about Bugs of firmware . it can be the answer of many questions instead of asking seperately & repeating questions. I am tired of problems of Xperia SP android 4.3 update . Big corporation like Sony can't release accurate firmware with no problems ?bad heating that cause shutting down, Lags , freezing , slow function , bad touch,black screen of charge,LED problems in call and many other problems in Xperia Sp . when do they want to solve,nobody know...:smileyangry:

You can find them iether by searching or even better by browsing this board. we all reckon ALEXDOn works for Sony, you can try contacting them but the usual answer is I don't know. Yes it's happening to me every bug and glitch people are on about happens to me since the update. I too have a black screen now, battery drain, phone switching off, 20 mins to get it to restart, crashing apps, unable to send messages or get into contacts. you name it I have it. SOny told me even if I send it for repair unliekly they can fix it as it is the software bugs.

I think all we can do is bombarde SONY with calls until they give us a date for a new update or a debug. otherwise I am going to look into legal action because I reckon they should pull it from the shelves as they know it dosen't work but yet people are still buying the product.

Believe it or not, I've also had this problem, many times. What seems to work for me is to take out the USB, open up the back and use the force shut down switch (the one in which you use a pen/pencil for). Afterwards, the phone vibrates, turns back on and acts back as normal. The cause of this? I honestly don't know, but what I do know is that it happens quite frequently to me, but as it has happened a lot, it doesn't bother me anymore.

A new software (12.1.A.1.205) is planned to start rolling out within a few weeks which should fix this.

Battery charging animation when Xperia SP is turned off and when it is on the charger is NOT FIXED in .205.

I turned off my Xperia SP phone. Plugged it in the cahrger. The charging process started and the battery symbol on the screen appeared. After a few seconds the screen turned off (this is normal). After that I pressed the power button 5 times in a row and the battery symbol appeared only twice while other three times the screen remained blank with background light turned on.

So, no progress here when compared to .201.

device still has this problem in new firmware, bulit 205 (android 4.3)
