Power Button software problem

My problem when i hold the power button longer then no window comes and i cant make a screenshot because it dont work with the button. To lock the phone works, but the other thinks not. It must be a software problem.

I have the Xperia SP with the Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean. Its not rooted or something like this.

I hope you can help me or somebody can report this. I mean it can be right that i cant shutdown my mobile phone or make a screenshot!

Press and hold Power & volume down at the same time

You have to press and hold them at the SAME TIME otherwise it is not going to work

Thats not the Problem, bro. The button dont do anything, i mean when i hold the button longer nothing happend, but when i thold it short it locks the phone. Its a Software Problem

yeah, but its nothing to repair 😕 i think its a problem by sony... When my battery is emty its shut down and when i start it i have no problem for about 2 days, then the problem is back and i cant work with the power button unless lock the phone 😕

It is not a wide spread problem, as far as I am aware no one else has reported it. Sony is not going to fix anything, the Xperia SP has reached end of life so will not be getting anymore updates. I am almost certain repairing the software via PCC will fix the issue-just try it.

Same problem here. I cannot bring up the power off menu by pressing long the lock button... I must push the off button in the back of the phone so i can restart it. What a fail phone is it really?... What else i will see from this phone.... Jesus Christ!
