Xperia SP touch and walkman problems

I am unable to access the status bar when I get notifications and touch is acting up. The touch options at the top of all my apps do not work so I'm unable to change pictures on WhatsApp, BBM and others. My walkman doesn't work either

Could you please elaborate? How do you mean that the Walkman application does not work?

Regarding the touch issue, I suggest that you boot into safe mode to see if you experience the same behaviour:

Thanks for that...about the walkman it doesn't open at all...when I do try to open it, it says unfortunately Walkman has stopped. It's been over a week now

I suggest that you clear data for the Walkman application via Settings > Apps > Walkman > Clear data. Otherwise, have you stored music on your internal storage/SD-card? You can always try to move the music to the PC to see if you can open the Walkman application without the music on your phone.
