Sony Xperia Tipo ST21I2 - call log not updating and cant see new messages...

Hi Everybody,

My call log not updating (not appear incoming / outgoing nos) and cant see new messages even...I have this problem since yesterday

There is missed call icon appears on home screen but in call log cant see the numbers...

Pl help me out...

Do you have any antivirus? taskillers? third party phone apps, messaging apps, home launchers?

Go to call app,tap on 3 dots and tick show call log.

no there is no such apps in the phone... but my kid was playing games on phone and after that it occurs.

its not hidden there is call log but now it is not updating with new calls...

Try this: settings-apps-all,scroll down to phone app and force stop and clear data. Restart.

i have tried phone app and force stop and clear data. Restart but nothing still the same

also tried reboot options.... i can see msgs / calls are there on home screen but one i chk it.... it disappears from log / inbox...

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

Finally i got it....

It was so simple...

Browse -

Settings - Backup & Reset - Settings reset [Resets phone to its original settings without erasing user data]

Within seconds phone restarted and supporting call log, message options.. etc.

Thanks for your sugeestions... but it was not too complicated.
