topic No headset in XA Series

No headset

Hi all
New to 6.0.1
Can you tell le whey there is no headset/headphones icon
Am using Sony Xperia XA Dual sim
The sound is good but no icon when its plugged in.
Can you help please

Restart the phone and check in safe mode

Yes they work fine.. The sound is OK
There is just no icon on the top of the phone when they are plugged in..

That's quite odd, I don't know if you are willing to repair the phone with XC

Read somewhere that since the 6.0.1 update there were no more headset icon on the Xperia phones and also the Xperia has never had that icon
Can you confirm ?
Meanwhile just downloaded smartconnect that notifies me that it is plugged..

You are right, I just double checked with my Xperia X and there's no icon but is still there with the Z5 series

I actually prefer not to have it, if you have Noise Cancelling headphones you will get an icon

The option has been removed with 6.0.1 I believe:
