Zooming fail to focus

Whenever I used the zoom, the camera fail to focus on the object. The result showed up that the camera tend to do macro. (I was capturing whiteboard and presentation slide in classroom).

Anyway I've tried manual and superior auto mode. But no difference.

in manual mode, there is an option where you can change the focus mode, try to set it to multi autofocus or single autofocus. does it work?

I've tried it before. It keeps on producing blurry photos. I also take the Sama scene with my Xperia L (Scene auto mode) and it does the great job.
