MMS received made into group chat

Hi,

When i receive a mms from someone it opens up a group chat with receivers name, and my number. Is there a setting I can go to to fix this?

I bought the XL P just a few days ago and my sister who has the same issue just today...

it depends on the SMS app. the stock one is made by Google and it doesn't have a setting to change that but you can use Textra (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.textra) or Pulse SMS (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.klinker.messenger) to change it. in Textra, go to Settings > MMS > Bulk. in Pulse, go to Global Settings > MMS Configuration > uncheck "Use group SMS" toggle.
