      <description>&lt;P&gt;Dear forum, 2 days ago i updated my one-week old Xperia X to android 8. The first attempt lead to a boot loop, with the PC companion I was able to repair this and finally install the update succesfully. However: Now my phone doesnt get a mobile data connection anymore. I can make phone calls and have signal, however, the H, 3G or 4G symbol doesnt appear anymore and there is no connection to the web. I tried the SIM-card in another phone, no problems. WiFi is working fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for support!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>some more info which is relevant: I already reset the connection settings and re-installed the APN info (automatically received from provider), I restarted several times and tried to select "GSM only" or "WCDMA only".</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, This may work for you or maybe you already tried it but sometimes when you update the mobile data settings are deleted and you can probably recover your signal by entering "settings" then "Internet and data" and then download the Internet settings.       <description>&lt;P&gt;just found the solution: the APN-data which my phone received automatically were wrong. I had to enter the APN manually, now it works!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Step by step&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First goto settings and find reset network settings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This includes WiFi and Bluetooth&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now your mobile network settings will be reset automatically.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If that does not help them goto the site of your provider and find the correct APN settings for Xperia X&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Again reset network settings, then goto network &amp;amp; internet, mobile network, access point names (APN) tap the + and fill the fields with the correct values.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dave it, choose this setup as default and try again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;BTW did you set mobile data to ON? If not, do so or else mobile network does not load data and you only can call and SMS&lt;/P&gt;</description>
