Unable to Set up Yahoo Mail account on E-mails on Xperia X

Hi there,

I have been trying for days to sync my e-mails from my Yahoo Account.

I even deleted the E-mail account, to try and re set up a new one and everytime I try it comes up with

Could not finish -Log-in erro. Check your username and password. then try again.

I have re set my password twice and also downloaded the Yahoo app from Play store which works fine but can't get E-mail from the E-mail App on my Xperia X.

Using IMAP and settings that are there already are:

IMAP Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com

Port - 993

Security Type - SSL/TLS

Not sure what else to do and scratching my head with what to do next.

Been looking on Forums and Google and no resolution found as yet

Just log in to your yahoo mail on your browser then go to settings>>account security>>manage app password>>generate then copy the password and paste it on the email browser of your xperia phone you are logging in, instead of using your own password. The rest of instruction afterwards is easy. Hope it helps.

Ps. I just discover it today after a lot of trial and error for a long time. I had my xperia z5 for almost 2yrs. But i've been using 2 diff. Application for my gmail and yahoo. But now, atlast its been sync in one email app default in xperia. happy much.
