Yeah, android 15 has probably messed up T9 on the Xperia Keyboard. An update from Sony might fix it.

I have a problem with my new Xperia 10 VII. I need a 3x4 keyboard layout with T9 typing functionality, which is not available in either Gboard or Microsoft SwiftKey. I've always used and loved the Xperia Keyboard!

I downloaded version 8.0.A.0.110, but when I select the 3x4 layout, the T9 activation icon (the pen) is greyed out. On my current Xperia XA2, everything works perfectly. I suppose this is an issue with the most recent Android 15.

I need help or advice on what actions I should take to be able to use T9 functionality. I am not satisfied with the other keyboards available on the Google Play Store, so will appreciate any advice!

I think the best option would probably be to download an older compatible keyboard APK. For example, one like OpenBoard with T9 support. You can also use a third-party app like T9 Keyboard or Simple Keyboard.

Yes, I have already tried to download lots of different Keyboards T9 APK. Openboard does not have this functionality, though I really like its design. Simple Keyboard and Microsoft Swiftkey do not have T9 either. Touch Pal does not work with Android 15 😞
