Firmware Updation is slow

hi, just now i got an alert about availability of new firmware for my phone, and in excitement i clicked ok which started process of updation,there are 4 stages in complete

1.start

2. prepare

3. update

4. finish

start and prepare are completed but the update process is so slow, now that my phone is off and firmware updation is in progress and am tired as process is on from past one hour and am almost sleepy now, if cable is disconnected or if net is gone or if laptops battery drain off as a consequence of which firmware updation wil not be successful, in this scenario will i be still able to open or turn on my sony xperia z1 ??

If you have a slow internet connection it will take quite some time, its about 800+ MB, you should NOT disconnect your phone

i appreciate your quick response bro thanks , by the way that's okay but i want to know what's gonna happen if in case it get halt due to any of reasons which i mentioned above

you could soft brick your phone which will require that you start the whole update process again

so phone will not turn on, but to turn it on again i need to update my phone, in simplest sense the phone will not work and to make it work i have to again update the firmware by same process ?? right
