I have no indication and no sound on receiving SMS messages

I have a problem.
I did update 4.3 and have no indication of SMS messages and I do not get sound when an incoming message. However, the messages arrive only means that I have no indication and no sound what do we do?

Do you have any notification app? third party messaging app? etc?

How about if you reinstall the latest update?

I had the same problem. I fixed it by doing the follwing. Hope it helps you.

Go to "Settings", then "Apps". At the top you will find "downloaded" next "On SD Card" (that is if you have one in), Next "Running" and then "ALL". When you get to ALL, scroll down until you find "MESSAGING" and open it. JUst under "FORCE STOP" there was an unticked small box "SHOW NOTIFICATIONS" . I ticked it and from then on i always knew when i had a message, because now i had a sound attached.

It took me many frustrating hours to figure it out. Hope it helps someone, quickly .
