I bought a xperia z yesterday and it's allready asking for an update 10.1.A.1.434..

When I want to start the update it tells me that I will have to pay for it.. Does anyone knows how much this is because there is no price given..

I never heard about paying for an SonyEricsson or Sonymobile update if you do this by OTA or PC-Companion.

Where do you come from and which provider do you have? Is this a branded mobile?

Can you provide us with a screenshot?

Is it possible that you misunderstand the textbox telling you that it may be costs because you may have to pay the data volume with your provider?

Thats what it says, But now I don't know how much it will cost me.. Or does it even cost something?

It won't cost you anything if you are using a wifi connection however if you are using 3g then it depends on your contract if you get data within your plan or if you have to pay for it. You could use the PC Companion or Sony Update Service via your PC to update it and this won't incur data charges to your phone.
