Mail crash after update

The default mail app on my Xperia Z2 crashes every time since this new android update (4.4.2). Before this update, it worked PERFECT.

Now, everytime I want to open the mail app and try to switch from one folder to another (for example from Inbox to Outbox), it crashes and I get this error message : "Mail is not responding. Do you want to Wait or Stop?".

I tried to remove the cache and I tried to force to stop the mail app. Neither of these methods helped to solve this problem. I hope this doesn't mean I have to reboot my whole phone, I hate to do that..

You could try a complete phone settings reset - Not a factory reset - Open Settings then Apps and swipe to All then locate and open settings then tap on Clear cache and data and reboot - Your settings will be reset but apps and data will still be present

The above is a good way to go, however if you have no luck with that you may also want to look at clearing the email app too: Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Email > Clear Data.

It doesn't work for my Sony.
I also did the latest update.

But email is not working correctly, it always crash.

Even walkman crash if i open Email.

Anyone a other solutions.

thanks for help or I hope Sony will find the solution and make a update.

Hi everybody.

Today I've received System update for my Z2. IT seems that there was an update of Stock Mail Client included. Version before was 10... now its 12...
In General this might be pretty good at all. Unfortunately Mail app isn't working anymore after update.
I receive notifications as always but when I'm going to open mail app it crashes. I only get an empty window from app which shows the "loading" circle. Nothing happens then. No messages will be shown and mail app is completely "dead". I have to kill IT via taskmanager and need to restart my Phone to get app working again. This Problem is extremely annoying.
I've tryied some things to solve this issue, but nothing helped at all:
- wiping the data of mail app completely
- wiping phones data completely
- restored old version of the app and updated it again to the new one
- factory reset
Each thing solved the problem until I've used the app again one or two times. Then the problem is shown up again ;{
I'm using the app with 5 accounts (2x gmail, 3x IMAP). Each of them with push.
Sonys mail app was used to be the best mail app I was using in the past years. And I've tried a lot.
Who can help me solving this issue? I have no more ideas at all. Thank you dudes.
