Connect to a none broadcasting network?

I can't connect to my network, i have broadcasting off.
I didn't see any advance features on the phone to avoid this.

How can i connect to my network maunlay without broadcasting?

Do you mean your home WiFi is set not to broadcast its SSID?

Hi l337g0g0,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

To add a hidden network, simply do the following.

Menu > Wifi > Press + button/Add > Add details of the hidden network.

This should allow the connection.

What did i do wrong?

And i know how to add the network SSID, it just says after i add the SSID that it's not in range.

I did some searching and people are saying that the Phone won't connect to the SSID unles sit's broadcasting.

So do i have to extra settings for this to work or is it not possible...

If your network is not broadcasting the phone has nothing to detect..Do a hard reset on your router and the phone will find it

WOW am i really confusing the question?

I don't like to broadcast my SSID.
All my gear i can maunally add the SSID and the device will add it and connect to the SSID/router.

The Sony Experia Z3 when i have the SSID router not broadcasting and i add the SSID to the Sony experia Z3 it adds the SSID but then never connects and says it's out of range.
When i turn on broadcasting the phone then connects to the SSID/router.

Like i said i was searching the internmet for thise problem and others have it also with this phone then when the SSID/router is not broacasting THIS phone the Sony experia Z3 will NOT connect to a none broacasting SSID/router.

SO...

My question is to the Sony Experira Z3 forums.

is there a setting/worka around to resolve this issue?
I want to have my Sony Experia Z3 connect to a none broadcasting SSID/router.

Tap add network +icon.tap network name.enter required ssid.Tap security drop down.Tap the required security eg WPA etc tap the password and enter password.tap done then tap save
Try setting your router to AES/TKIP if above doesn't work

When the router is not broadcasting the phone loses connection from the router and says out of range.
When i reactivate broacasting it reconnects.

???

Yes i like i said i took his advise and no one from that support system can help me.

So i'm coming back here for one last shot.

You adding it to the end of my old post does this convo no justice, no ones going to read the new title.

So this will go unanswered just because you moved it here.

Is this customer service in deleting my posts and moving my posts around?

Touch my post again and i will go higher with this and see how your actions get dealt with.

I'm posting this question again cause it never got fully answered and want another shot at it.
You have no right to prevent me from finding those answers out, and controling how i search for this answer.

Like i said leave my posts alone or i will be calling sonys customer service and putting in a complant about your actions.

you gota brodcast your SSID for any wifi devices to detect it 😕 or it will not find the network since broadcast is turned off inside your router.

Best option is to use something named MAC-Allow list or w.e it's called most routers have this so doing it this way any un-authorized MAC address will be thrown off from wifi even if user has correct pass it will still throw them off since their MAC-Address isn't in the allowed list.
