Problem with speakers when taking calls - Very Heavy Noise

Hi. I have recently purchased a Sony Xperia Z ultra C6802. Since yesterday there is a problem that when I make a call, the sound from the other side sounds to be very heavy. I'm not sure if i am able to describe it correctly but its similar to the kind of voice you would hear from a walkman in the olden days when the batteries would go low. It is the same issue with and without speakerphone. (when I hold the phone to my ear)

However, the issue is related to phone calls only. When I play music or listen to Videos, it works perfectly fine.

Kindly advise.

Settings-call settings-untick microphone noise suppression.

Seems to work, There is also an option below it called "Slow Talk" which slows down the voice of the other party. I found it while looking at the option you suggested. Just that I'll need to verify again tomorrow. Its 12 midnight at my pace and cant make a call to anyone at this time
