so I got a magnetic charger!

Mainly to save wear on the usb flap. But also because the micro usb lead is extremely hard to remove without feeling your about to tear the port out. I opted for just a usb charger rather than a dock. Anyway I have to say it's the hardest thing in the world to line up. In the dark? Forget about it! I imagine it works great on a dock. But the terminals are so small trying to align them whilst the magnet is trying to pull it down. Am I doing something wrong? Im just finding it extremely difficault.

What if you place it on the Dock, and then slide it accross.

That's what I do Uli - Connect it then give a little slide untill it shows the charging icon

Yeah, I only get it right one out of 10 if I place it directly (w/o sliding).

I don't have a dock. It's just a straight usb with magnet charger on the other end. I might see if I can knock a dock up. Didn't want to buy one as I have a case on my phone

It shouldn't be that hard, just slide it and it should work, unless its not a Sony magnetic cable and the magnet its too weak

The magnet is strong. It's the contacts on the charger are so small. It requires pin point presision to get it working. Do Sony make just a usb magnetic charger? Or does it have to be a dock? Like I said I have a case on my phone and don't want to have to remove it everytime. If I make my own I can at least have it fit to case.

The Dock, if you take it apart you will find the cable.

I removed the cable. And made a homemade dock To fit the phone with the case attached. It's not all that pretty. But it does what I need it too. Thanks for the help @uliwooly
