Tritton Kunai not working without microphone

Hi, I bought a Tritton Kunai and when I try to use with my Xperia Z1 it not work if the microphone aren't connected in the auricular.

I try to format the phone and reinstall the updates.

Could there be an option to create an update to fix it?

Sorry for my english because isn't my language.

If features aren't working then they are probably not compatible and have different CTIA pin outs

The auricular sounds great, but only if the microphone are connected, if I disconnect the phone not recognise it, but in my Xperia S work with or without.

Contact Xperia care to see if they know more about compatibility but some things that work on your XS won't necessarily work on your Z1 http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

They said me that will ask here or send to the tecnical service.

EDIT: Ok, I bought an CTIA to OMTP adapter. Hope to this resolve this.
