Constantly being asked to set default home app

I had downloaded a third party launcher and selected Always as the default, but every time I exit an app, it constantly posters me to select the default home app. I've tried deleting the cache and force quitting Xperia Home, but that didn't solve the problem. I then deleted the third party launcher, but am still getting asked to choose the default between Xperia Home and Xperia Simple Home. Even when I select Always for the Xperia Home launcher, I still get asked each and every time I exit an app.

what if you try something simple as to restart your phone and check again.

If a restart does not help,try to reset app preferences in settings-apps-all (by tapping on the 3 dots).

When I restart my phone it only temporarily solves it.

Does your phone has a SIM card? have you disabled any other app or service?

Yes it has a Sim card. The only thing I have disabled is the default messaging app

Have you tried running your phone in Safe Mode or tried using the Sony Home Launcher to see if the problem still occurs

Safe mode did stop it from occurring, but is there anyway to determine which app was causing the glitch?

Come out of Safe Mode......look to see what 3rd Party Apps you have recently installed, go to Settings - Apps & swipe across to All then its a matter of scrolling down to each 3rd Party App you have installed & click on it, then Force Stop.

Then go back & see if this has cured the problem.........if not then restart that App & move on to the next......bit of a fiddling process i'm afraid :smileysmileywink:

Try & think of the last one you installed & work backwards from that.....

Incidently, the first app in my list was the most recently downloaded and now that I disabled it, it seems to have fixed the glitch. Thank you so much!
