Battery drains faster with Lollipop

Has anyone else noticed that the battery drains faster with Lollipop, lasts now 2/3 of the time compered to before upgrade. All battery saving settings are set as before.

Hmm..that link was about charging, have no problem with that, its just that the battery drains faster, thougt Lollipop was supposed to be better when it comes to battery savings. Guess it could be some apps thats not optimized for Lollipop yet.

How long ago have you updated? I suggest you wait some more,restart the device regularly.

Three days ago so maybe it will get better. One theory I have is that WLAN might be the cause since I have better coverage after update.

So you are using wifi or mobile data and which one causes trouble?

Both are working just fine, Its just that I noticed that I have better reception when I using wifi now with Lollipop compared to before. Pephaps the Wifi on the phone is more effective with Lollipop and that takes a little bit more from the battery.

That could be, I usually notice that after a major update, the battery will drain faster if I'm on WiFi, usually play store or G+ are syncing uploading and downloading stuff.

My handset is Sony z2 I updated lollipop. Before updating my battery backup is 2-3 days after updating its become reduced backup and shorter to 1 day.please give any solution.

Hi,

Guys I am having same problem, the battery used to last two days with mild usage now its only 15 hrs,

statistics show following Apps are eating batery

Android System
Android OS
New User [I have not created any user Account]
Screen

I believe the OS itself is drinking the juice out of battery

has anybody found any solution to it please help, otherwise I'll have to take it back to Kitkat

Since upgrading to Lolipop my Z3 Compact the battery life has more than halved from more than 2 days to 1 day, I like the upgrade but I cant manage the battery loss.

Has anybody found out how to improve it?

Failing that how can I revert back to Kitkat???

What can I do to rectify this otherwise how can I revert back to Kitkat?

I may suggest you to try what @alexdon advise and monitor for several days to see if the device back to normal.

Hi all, it's been a week now after updating my z1 to lollipop. Battery drains very fast. I would say is does not stay more than 6 hrs after a full charge and most of the time my Phone is in idle. Please fix this asap.
