My phone takes days to be charged when I charge it with the magnetic charger. Anybody knows why? Many thanks.

If it takes days it's broken, or your phone is broken, or you're using a really weak charger, or you're using it while it charges.

i suspect you're exaggerating. how long does it really take?

It might be related to the fact that you have a 3rd party magnetic cable. Is this the case? I know it doesn't take days but more than 4-5 hours it could take.

Thanks for the Info. If I use a normal USB cable, the phone will be fully charged very fast but if I use the magnetic charger it will be EXTREMELY slow and I don't use my phone it is charging.

I have no idea if it is a third party cable as the cable was given to as an extra charger.

Most probably it is. I sugggest you try to charge with the original adapter you were given. See if there is any improvement.

Unless it is a dock, your magnetic charger is a 3rd party, and even with docks, there are many available options not made by Sony.
It does not mean anything bad in itself but eventually its quality could not be as high as the standard should be.
I use a 3rd party magnetic adapter and my Z3c does not take "forever" to charge. I had problems with it though.

after i upgraded my Z3 dual to Lollipop it takes 89% of charge with magnetic charger normally, aftel that it goes blink the indicator and does not continue charging, if I change magnetic charger to USB - charging goes normally to 100%

No, Anito. I have just stopped using the magnetic charger. I use the usb charger instead....

To clarify: if you're using a magnetic cable charger (not a dock) then it's not a Sony product, thus quality of charging will be variable and not of a standard quality. Sony only has the Magnetic Dock DK48 for Z3 series. I baught myself one of these magnetic cables and it charges my phone FASTER than regular dock when connected to the same adapter.

Bear in mind that chargong via magnetic chargers is dependent on the cleanliness of both charger and port. Any dust, rust, or residues on either of them can compromise the charging speed.

I'm thinking of getting the Dk48 but I have a question.
How difficult is it to line up? I have a magnetic charging cable. And I'm not going to lie it's a right pain to get the contacts to align in or order to stimulate charge. It's almost like the magnet becomes my enemy. So I just end up using the USB. 😕
Any advise would be great.
