You could if it did boot to a certain point try a manual flash using Flashtool and a .ftf firmware file but untick wipe data

my xperia z does not boot any more. It constantly vibrates instead if connected to power supply. I am about to send it to the service center but cant find any information if I will lose my photos and videos then. They have no phone number or email address. I was wondering if it would be a better choice to search for help of an experienced do-it-yourselfer. But then I will lose warranty. So please help me deciding what to do.

But do try this

Connect your phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 to 3 hours > after 2-3 hours repair it with PCC

thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately it does not work. I connect it to the charger and it seems to start charging. The red LED in the upper right corner lights up and it starts vibrating constantly. But after 10min the red light disappears and the vibrating stops. This happens with or without holding the buttons...

I guess it is dead.
