Software and Battery- Any connection?

Hello, I know this might be a newb question...
But does the length of charging a phone and battery time has something to do with softwares in particular?

The type of software (especially apps) that you use affect in a direct way the battery life.

How about when charging the phone?
Does software have anything to do with a phone charging especially when it's turned off when charging?

Because my Z2 charges up to a rough 4 hrs. from 10-15% charge while it's turned off.

@kichiroamemiya Are you using any third party charger adapter mine was also takes 04 hours to charge when I used third party magnetic charger or chargin doc but its takes only 2.5 Hrs when i used original Sony 880 charger came with the phone

As above,you need an original sony charger to experience a fast charge. If you have a 3rd party magnetic cable,it will charge slower.

I use the Sony EP880 w/ an EC803 cable that came with the phone. Takes 4 hrs. even with the phone turned off.
I tried to use a samsung charger with the same output as 1.5A and same result...
Something to do with the software or the battery itself?

You could perform a software repair and see if the same occurs.

I did it. Charged it at 20% at 4:47PM, 100% at 7:43PM. Almost 3 hrs. kind of an improvement I think?
Anyway, thank you.
I'm just gonna get it checked at Sony and see...

A difference but still,have you charged it turned off? What adapter do you use? Keep us updated.
