z1 back panel not flushed

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if you guys have the same issue with the z1 back cover not leveled with the side plastic frame? The back cover is not leveled with the side frame and you can feel the the plastic frame protrudes when you hold the phone. I compared it with a z3 and the z3 back cover is flushed. Is z1 back cover suppose to be like this?

Yes, this is normal and it's also like this on Z2 but not on Z3.

Oh ok. So both the z1 and z2 back cover are designed this way except for the z3. Thanks for the info.

What you can do if you want it more leveled with the frame is to put a display protector on the back. I'm not sure but that may perhaps be one of the reasons that it's designed this way.
