Speaker not working after put in water in Z

The speaker of my phone does not working properly after put in water.

sound can not come out due to water inside the speaker area..

it does not drain?

anybody faced this problem?

what to do?

let your phone dry for a whille once it's fully dry your speakers will sound normal again

It's normal that speakers wont work fully after having the phone in water.

Actually, Does the speaker getting wet will make it damage?

i don't think the actual speaker get wet. it's the speaker vent(those tiny holes) that is blocked with water. and since the phone is certified water resistant, the speaker is not supposed to get damaged with contact from water.

yes. as long as all flaps are closed and the indicator in those flaps doesn't turn red(to indicate that water has went in)

You should bring the water out of the speaker with your mouth.

then dry it with cold hair dryer.then wait,it will be perfect again.

mine is perfect now.then blow a little in it...it's normal.don't worry.:smileyhappy:

and it's fine and doesn't hurt your phone.

Lol I did the same being a smart ass to my mates with samsungs and I phones.. They all laughed but it dryed out in like 10 mins. Just blow the holes out aha

When water falls falls on my phone.... Water goes in speaker and loudness of speaker goes down
This has happened 2-3 times
Is this a problem????

That's normal, you have to wait for the speaker to dry out

I have had the xperia z2 for best part of a year now I got it wet when I first got it around 10 or 11 months ago and its never worked the same since the speakers drastically lost volume which has never got better and with the over heating issues I have been really put off these phones I'm now left with the dilemma of buy a new phone or pay out for new speakers which I have been quoted quite a high price to be done
