Cost savings option for SMS?

Unfortunately, many special characters reduce the number of characters that can be sent in a single message. This then requires the use of two or more SMS messages to achieve the same message. Cost saving converts certain special characters into their more traditional forms in order to make it so that your 160 characters stay at 160.

That's normal, that's not up to the app but to the carrier network.

A prove to that is that you can download a different messaging app and, you'll see that you get the same "issue"

I have installed the Textra application and has the option costs saving. I would like the application of Sony also had this option.

Hangouts not convert special characters to reduce costs. In the past the application of Sony had this option.

I haven't seen this option, how long ago was that?

because it has been requested since the Xperia X10 to have similar options, like not to convert long SMS into MMS, but it hasn't been incorporated.

The link doesn't work, and I have multiple Xperias and I haven't been able to see this option

X10, Arc, S, T, Z, Z1, Z3 tablet compact, etc.

Some operators may have this option in their firmware but we don't have it in our generic version on any model i've checked.

As uliwooly says, it's something that has been requested before and that we've forwarded as feedback but currently i can only recommend that you use another messaging app to get this option.

At this time use the chomp SMS app but preferred to use in the future the app from Sony, please. Thank you.
