z2 very slow charging after upgrading to lollipop ?

Please help me
After i upgraded my mobile from kitkat to lollipop android i charged my mobile .. from 5% to 70 % it took over 6 hours !!!!
Before updating the maximum time was 3hours from 1to 100%
P.S : the same cable and chager is present .. Nothing new used !!!
please explain what happened after this update ??

Not sure what we can do to help but maybe it's just that you have upgraded and it may take time to settle down - You could try performing a system repair

Performing a system repair using PC Companion will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Already did that ..
i tried to recharge the mobile when its powered off
At 99% its come green flashing and the electricity sign is flashing appearing and disappearing !
Before i update from Kitkat i was able to use my mobile while im recharging it , but now when i use it some times a message appears tell me something like " the power im consuming is more than the mobile is getting from recharging " and it said leave ur mobile to be recharged .
Also im getting "No service" message on lock screen altough i have a mobile data connection !
My mobile became strange ..please do something i started to hate my mobile 😞

That's normal if you are using the phone while playing games or multitasking.

Are you charging the phone through a Sony's wall charger? Dock? or Computer?

Im using a wall charger
And nothing new ive used .. the same cable & charger
i know that's normal .. but im not multitasking only chatting on messenger
Before i update i was doing the same activity and the battery was recharging and it's percentage is going up .. now it's going down
Plus the "no service" message appears on lock screen although i have mobile data active with an internet connection !
I think we may need an update to fix all of this bugs or if there are different ways to solve . Please help me .

You could repair the phone, if that doesn't work then you have to go to settings > power settings > battery > check what's using up your battery

Yes i have the same issue after install of Lollipop yesterday. First Charge has problems with a maximum of 83% Charge only.

I note same issues reported on XDA forum as well. The charging side of the Z2 seems to be a real weaknes with Sony kit?!

Come on Sony lift your game here please...

I have the same problem for my z2. When I updated to lollipop, it only charges upto 86%. I can't charge my phone upto 100%. I use the same sony wall charger i use before.

I am in the same boat since doing the OTA update to Lollipop. Is Sony going to admit there is a problem and commit to a date to issue a release that fixes recharging troubles? If not how do we downgrade to 4.4?

OTA lollipop, same charging troubles. Looks like it does not drain full power from the charger anymore

Same here for my xperia z. I have to charge by switching off or else it wont get charged. It takes half an hour for getting changed 1%.
Also my phone gets heated more than before!
Helps us SONY, as soon as possible. Please.

Same problem....it was fine before updating....overnight charging for 8hr and stil battery wont be full....d phone heats up like anything.....cnt use d phone while charging even for chatting...started hating d phone....nly way to charge is switching of.....bt i cnt do that as calls r expected being a doctor.....pls give some.fix....

ease, find us a way to get back the alast Android version "kitkat 4.4.4" because I have been facing alot of problems with the latest version "lollipop", the battery dies fast and it takes alot of time to charge!! Plus that I can't use my mobile when charging, is there is any way I could have kitkat instead of lollipop?!!
Please contact me soon because my device driving me crazy since I have updated it!!

Hi everybody... i had the same problem.. slow charging and high battery consumption, and most of it because of AndroidOS and Cell standby....

but by disabling the backup & reset from settings, the problem got partially solved and the power consumption got better...

hope this would help until Sony gets us a real solution.

Hey there,
I'm in Marshmallow now.
My phone charges but takes around 4 hours to charge from 15 to 100%.
It was around 3 hours max.when I was in kitkat.

i recently also started having a lot of problems with my xperia n i already checked any possible solution to those, its like the phone has a life of its own n seriously hates me! lately i keeps going onto slow charging mode n i cant do anything about it, the last time i tried to charge my phone (20-30 minutes before this post) it said that it will take 17HOURS!!!! what is that about? im not using anything in my phone for the past day and my battery life goes from 100% down to 1 in between 7-10 hours that is some kind of a joke! n to top it off it constantly overheats im getting sick n tired of those issues now, i even tried changing the charger, the cable and even the source of power but nothing works, if anything it's only gotten worse!
