got an xperia z and s both have update problems

we have an xperia z and s in the house both phones are listed on sony mobile as having updates available neither will see the download using sus pc companion or ota,

any ideas?

can sony provide a direct download link or a system for updating that works?

just like any other update you have two options

1) wait for the update to be approved and released in your country and /or by your carrier/network provider

2) manually update your phone

I will check out the links provided thanks, but the problem remains sony mobile website for my country says both phones have an update available both phones are unlocked to all networks/ carriers but are unable to update, why is this?

the page for the s says something similar but both phones do not have the respective version listed nor can they find it to download, both devices claim to be up to date, is the phone right or the website right

the links you provided are interesting but for belgium version does anybody (including sony) have a link for version 10.1.1.a.1.253 listed on sony gb website

well two days on still no updates still no manual download link from sony, maybe I have a 3rd option stop buying sony products.:smileysad:

I am asking why you give different responses to different users, you seem to choose & discriminate it seems?

How comes you never once said to me 'you know, you're right, WHY haven't you still got the update yet?' - except all you do is tell me to wait? Genuine question, no arguments

seriously, its a PHONE not the end of the world, and its a small update, I can only imagine when 4.2.2 is out and you are waiting for it to be approved and released

the only reason I manually update my phone was to see if there were some issues, but they weren't if you read my posts you can see that I did said that I didn't wanted to update my phone as I want to retain root access, get your facts right and STOP this paranoia
