Headphone jack doesn't work?

I tried plugging the headset that came with the phone and no sound. i tried the same headset on my spare phone and it works.

my firm ware is up to date Build 14.1.B.1.532

Were those headphones included with your phone? Do you have another pair of headphones?

Open all the flaps and check if there's either a white or pink or red rectangle (in each compartment)

yes headphones were included and i tried 2 others that work. i got the phone monday.

also i don't see any red or pink color of those shapes. the only red i see is the reset/power button

That's the problem, your phone has water damage, those are the water damage indicators, if the flaps aren't properly closed water will leak in.

You could take it to a Sony repair center and request a "vacuum test" to see if it was you who didn't closed the flaps properly or if there flaps are faulty.

what are you talking about the phone has never been near or around water and there is no pink anywhere. pink indicates water damage, which is clearly not the case. i got the phone on monday

Hey if my phone has a water damage and my usb dock flap is faulty that is lose then will it be covered in warranty or I'll have to pay

And yes my earphones jack is not working too and there is something white near my sd card in the flap and which is completely white.and my proximity sensor is not working now what to do

I am facing the same problem about headphones not detecting. I tried several factory resets but still the problem is not solved. I also tried a repair. Still same issue. Is it any thing wrong with the hardware or itz just a software issue (bug)
Please help!!!!
