I recently updated to lollipop os since my phone's loudspeaker wasn't working. Even after the update still doesn't work. When I try to repair, it says there is no software available for your device

This has been asked on myriad times. but are you playing music with the Music app or a third party app?

Tried playing music on both before but to no avail. Phone's speaker is working again after doing an upgrade and a repair. Although it took hours after before it worked again.
