Sound problem with Z5

When I play a music either via headphone or via Bluethoot speakers I hear sound deformations / noise / Sizzles
Some time I also have the problem when I call.
I've restarted the phone and I still have the problem.

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu
3. press and hold "power off"
4. Boot on safe mode should become available

HI,

I've changer my Xperia Z5 with a new one, but I still have the problem.
The problem happens also in SAFE MODE.

I've 2 other phone at home (Nexus 5 and HTC One M8) and I don't have the problem with them so I'm sure that the problem is the Z5.
There is a problem with Z5 bluetooth.

I have the same problem with my z5 compact. A kind of crackling sound when using every kind of headphones. It is very noticeable especially at low volumes

Yes. I'm facing the same issue on the Z5 Dual I jst bought today.
I'm using my MDR-XB950BT Bluetooth Headphones and facing the same distortion issue.
I hope a software update will fix this.

You are not alone, I also encounter the same problem with my Xperia Z5 playing music through LG HBS 730 when the phone was on the initial firmware.

The update 32.0.A.6.152 appears to resolve this problem.

After last firmware is working better but is still not acceptable, i hope that Sony will fix this problem with a future firmware

After the update do you have reserted the phone? do you have created again the bluethoot connection?

I have the same exact problem. I use my phone to listen podcasts and talkshows so this has been bothering me very much. Especially in lower volumes you can hear that sizzling sound very clearly. Almost threw my phone because I was so annoyed of it. The problem is so bad for me that I'm thinking of returning this phone. Has sony addressed this problem and are they gonna do something about it?

This problem was already there from the z3..I also have this problem on my z5p so..I kinda got used to it since the z3

Since today I am facing ring tone volume issue, on full volume output is very low, notification and alarm tone is working fine but ring tone is very low.
Software update done, resetting done no changes, in safe-deposit also I have this same problem.
Kindly advice please.

I don't know if this is gonna help, but i had the same problem. Then i realised i had just showered. The AUX jak was wet so I dried it with tissue... Works like magic for me now.

I also have that noise problem. I have an Z5 compact. The noise disappears when I turn on DSEE HX. The base disappears a bit, but as I have said.

I have experienced the noise when I am plating music through my Supra nitro in ear headphones.

I have version 32.0.A.6.200 (android 5.1.1). I hope the problem is fixed when android 6 comes...

I too have this issue. It appears to be a problem with signal handling. It distorts the sound at lower volumes across all apps and filetypes, enhanced audio something something in audio settings does however somewhat help on some files. This issue is terribly annoying as it renders the phone useless for what I most frequently use audio for ;music and audiobooks at low volume before going to bed or while reading.

My problem is when I connect my headphones and turn on Spotify a can't even get any audio out of them. It works when a take my headphones out fine. But my headphones work fine on other devices

i got major issues with my phone. sound is all base and distorted although i try different headphones its the same. tryed youtube spotify etc but problem is still there. also had the problem that the phone was not detecting the headphones. im going to send it in for repairs i think.

Hi,

Same problem here in a Xperia Z5.

Updated to marshmallow a week ago. Since then, i only can listen to radio.

I cant ear anything when listen Podcast, Music, or youtube video.

Ive tested with many headphones, with and without mics.

Restoring the phone solved for me yesterday, but today i'm stuck in the same point.

Only can ear radio FM.

Any clue?
