Headphone jack icon missing

My xperia z3+ doesnt shows the headphone icon in the notifaction icon bar.....i am using the headphone that came with it..

what may be the cause..???

It shows smartconnect icon on plugging the headset firsttime and when you dont assign any event for that it doesnt shows any icon on plugging in..

Check the snapshot for xperia sl( showing headphone icon) and xperia z3+ (showing smartconnect icon) with the same headphone.

I don't remember there being an icon, at least with the wired headsets. Perhaps only when you first connected them, but if you ticked do not show in smart connect, that should not show up again.

Try to clear the SmartConnect app data.

How to clear data on apps.
From your Home screen

1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on the SmartConnect app.
5. Tap Force stop > Clear data.
6. Restart the phone

doesnt work...it shows the smartconnect icon and if you dont assign any event than on pluggin the headphone it doesnt show any icon..

Better yet, uninstall Smart Connect. It's Sony bloatware.

phone doesnt shows any headset icon even after disabling or uninstalling the smartconnect app.

I think case was only different on KK but not 100% sure. Will check with some support members. Meanwhile, you can contact your Local support.

@mukeshkumarmutha So it seems I was right and I can confirm after checking with support members that there isn't any headset icon. Some 3rd party apps however show it.

I assure you there was some sort of an icon when head set was connected. The icon looked like an "ear" rather than headset and mine is missing too. Please tell this to support,
