      <description>&lt;P&gt;Screen auto-rotation&amp;nbsp;function have problem on my phone. After several restarts and on/off the function it starts working finally but not for long. After changing the application or turning off the screen again stops working. I did Factory reset, repairing...no use.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any suggestion?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Next time this happens could you test your phone's gyroscope in Diagnostics to see if that stops working as well?&amp;nbsp;You can access Diagnostics through Settings &amp;gt; About phone &amp;gt; Diagnostics. Here you can choose Test and you should be able to find Gryoscope in the list of tests.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I also have this problem, tho on a Z5. Both the gyrosope and accelerometer have failed the diagnostic tests, safe mode doesn't work either. I cannot get it going again. The phone has been fine for the month I have had it and stopped working yesterday for no obvious reason.&amp;nbsp;What next please?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;In PC Companion you press start on "Support Zone" &amp;gt; Start on "Update the phone/tablet software" &amp;gt; "Repair phone/tablet" (the blue clickable link in the message) &amp;gt; Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;The software repair will remove all data stored in the phone so don't forget to make a backup in PC Companion before you try the software repair. You can do a backup using the Backup &amp;amp; Restore option in PC Companion.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I won't have access to a windows machine until the weekend to try the repair phone via PC Companion, so will see what happens there. If that doesn't do it,&amp;nbsp;sounds like I will also need to go to the local support.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried registering my phone yesterday at account.sonymobile.com but couldn't as it rejected the valid imei with "Invalid format for IMEI number". Any idea round this one please?!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Ye mine is also doing this now. This is a brand new warranty replacement Sony Xperia Z5 compact, which I received after the screen suffered the spontaneous self-cracking that others had reported. Now my auto roatate doesn't work, unless I restart the phone where it will work for a few hours. If I do diagnostics, the gyroscope nor the accelerometer work. Weirdly the fingerprint scanner works in normal use but when I go into diagnostics after the auto rotate stops, the scanner doesn't work in the diagnostic environment?! Any solutions?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Not an impressive experience with Sony phones so far!</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My Sony Xperia Z5C no longer rotates the content of the screen when I rotate the phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Browser pages remain in portrait whatever angle I turn the phone to, Youtube videos remain in landscape whatever I do, as two major examples.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've checked in the settings and the function to rotate the screen is turned on. I tried turning it off, then on again, but still the same problem remains. Tried restarting my phone, problem remains. I am not ready to try full resetting my phone as I do not wish to lose my set up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My phones model number is E5823 and it is running Android 6.0&lt;/P&gt;</description>
