Adding Contacts to Groups impossible!

I have just bought an xperia 3+. BIG PROBLEM with adding contacts to groups. In the contacts list all contacts are OK. When I go to the Groups menu and into Contacts from Groups, only a fraction of the Contacts are shown. If I go the other way and select a contact directly from the compleat contact menu and try to edit that and select that contact to a Group, nothing happens and the contact is not added to the selected Group. The Contacts that are visable from Groups menu Contacts is possible to add to Groups eider way.

I have also seen that contacts are comleatly randomly put to different types. Some are lokal, some are connected to an email account and some are put to some Phone contact and others to Exchange contact. I have not put them there. HELP!

Actually you probably did added the contacts when you synced the accounts

contacts > menu > filter

you can check or uncheck them and see if that solves the issue.

I have tried all possible variations of filter settings. Results are the same.

What if you backup all your contacts with Google > then on your computer > access your Gmail > contacts > check if all your contacts are there, you can edit them.

On your phone, settings > apps > all > contacts > clear data > back > back > accounts > google > select your Gmail > uncheck and check contacts > wait > check your contacts again.

Finaly solved. First had to disable Exchange Sync and then to export all contacts to SD card. Then I could import all contacts to

email account. Got doubled up on a lot but that was fast to delete the local ones.
