Notification problem in Z5 compact with SCR44 Style Cover

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my new xperia Z5 compact phone and the SCR44 Style Cover.

In fact I transferred old messages from my Xperia SP into my Z5C with Xperia Transfer mobile in Direct Wifi.

It worked fine.

But after that I noticed that I had 4 unread messages when I close my Cover.

Here 2 screen to illustrate my problem.

First the classic unlock screen:

As you can see, there's no unread messages.

Now the Style Cover screen:

Here I have 4 received messages, but no messages in the app 😕

I tried some solutions, like delete data for the cover widget, delete style cover screen and add it back, delete all messages, change my default app to hangout, check if I had unread messages, etc.

None of them have worked.

Can anybody help me please ?

If you have swiped away the message but didn't read it, it might show like that. At least that happened on a Z5 I have. Is there any unread message if you go to messages app?

alexdon, I removed all my messages, so there's no message at all in the phone.

Have you tried to restart your phone?

Yes, just now, and I received one SMS, so now it remains 3 unread messages in the notification cover.

That is strange. But how could you receive a message after and change the number from 4 to 3? It should have been 5.

I'm thinking that the device doesn't see those 3 but they somehow have been received.

I forgot to precise that I have read it, after that I cheked the number and it has passed from 4 to 3.

I think you are right, there is 3 unread messages, but how to find them ? 😕

You should check latest 3 conversations that you have in the default messages app. Or force stop the app and clear data and check again.

I tried what you said, bot no way, the messages were still there !
So I made a factory reset, and they have disappeared !

It's an excessive solution, but at least it worked.

I'm having the same problem too. I turned my phone back to factory settings. problem solved . I used 2 days equipment with protective cover. and began to give no warning message again. protective cover app have problem, I think. This protective cover soured me away. I'll return the product.
