Since upgrading to marshmallow, the pictures taken don't come out as crisp as before. Any solution or a fix?

Welcome to the community.

Can you please test the photos in safe mode and see if the issue persists? It would also be helpful if you can provide some screenshots of the problem.

After the update superior auto allows 8mp resolution only, why is that so?

@Anwarior It was always like this. Only the Z5 generation allows superior auto over 8 MP.

There is a picture icon at the top of the window where you type your response. If it is not there, change the page to full at the bottom.

Camera doesn't have same features like increase colure and brightness as shown in marshmallow demo video available on YouTube.

My camera has started hanging my phone, if i use video or take a photo I cannot use the return on screen button to close the camera.

Usually I lock the screen and re-open it and then get stuck looking at the lock screen picture. I need to press the power button a few seconds so I am able to reboot my Z2. Before the Android 6 update I used the camera a lot and never faced this issue. Any idea why suddenly my camera is cuasing my phone to need a reboot?

Thank god I'm not the only one that has camera issues along with some other issues .
For the camera , indeed pictures aren't coming out as crisp as they used to be ! For a 20 mp camera , instead I'm getting blurry pictures with increased noise , at first I thought it didn't focus well so I obviously tried again but pictures are just blurry, this marshmallow update definetly ruined the camera experience instead of improving it 😑

On superior mode it only supports 8mp why it cause??
I have to change manual mode for 21 mp

That's how it always have been, a lot of users just realized this, but it has been the same since the phone was released, even from the Xperia Z, it's called pixel binning, use the search bar.

Hi im noha from egypt
I have Xperia Z2 for 2 years now ans i love Sony but the quality of the pix taken by camera started to deteriorate as well as the charging
Guys ive to keep the socket in my phone for 5 hours to be full and the device temperature increases awfully in the morning that my ears would thaw during talks
I hope there is a solution.. Thank you

Thanks alot for your cooperation but the problem is the battery is built in...i guess it's not that easy to replace it?
