Battery drain 3x on 23.5.A.0.575

I loved this phone with its two day battery life, even after Marshmallow .570.

Few days ago did the latest xperia system update, and now the phone, charged in the morning barely makes it to the eve, with normal usage.

In idle it loses around 5-10% per hour, when I take the phone in my hand, I can see the battery countdown.

Is there a way to get back to .570 firmware?

We'll need more info to better assist you

charge the phone 100% use it as you normally would then once the battery reaches 10%

settings > power management > battery > take screenshots of:

1. the list

2. tap on the graph and take a screenshot

3. back > tap on the top 4 items on the list > take a screenshot of each

post them all here or upload the screenshots to box or dropbox or google drive or etc and post the link

Same story here. Two days ago I updated to Android 6.0.1, buildnr: 23.5.A.0.575. The battery used to be great and one of the best on the market! Now it's so extremely bad and actually one of the worst on the market. Recharge every day and within 3 hours of average intensive use (whatsapp massages and searching the web, screen on for approx. 2,5 hours), only 50% left. Is Sony already working on this big issue? As I read, there are a lot more people having issues with the battery after the update.....

Same here. Fixed by uninstalling (returns to basic version of) Google Play Services. In this state the draining stops. A lot of Google-based apps and services do not work at this point. After reboot and update to latest version of Google Play Services (Play Store does this automatically) the Google-apps work again and the battery consumption remains normal. You have to log in to some of the Google-apps again, or re-enter an extra account if you manage other Google-accounts on your phone. In my case this went without any problems.

Used the Gsam battery app, and it showed me an app that was taking too much battery,

Removed the app, and now the battery life has increased.

Still testing, but at least now I don't watch the battery countdown

I spoke to an Support agent called Jason on the chat about the battery drain problem. He said he hasn't heard about it.

Is there a solution for this problem? My battery dies every 6 hours even if I don't use the phone.

I have to charge the battery middle of the day.

Jason said I should run the software repair and when asked how he said instructions will be e-mailed. I am yet to get a e-mail

hi guys ,

any ideas if the Z3c is getting the Stamina mode update on marshmallow like the Z5 family and the Z3+ has got?

it was a really nice feature and lots of others want to get that feature back on their phones as the dose mode from 6.0.1 is useless.

Battery is no longer an joker for Sony

One of the best features - Ultra Stamina disapeared. Before I could easily swich to ultra stamina if I had 15% battery and about 6 estimated hours until I'll get home to charge, and all was great. But now I have to keep my charger/external battery with me all the way.

Biggest dissapointment in Sony with this update.

Bring back Stamina's please!

Based on Sony's reply, I used the Companion software to reinstall the Android 6.0.1.

It really screwed up all my apps, home pages and the contacts but after installation the battery life

was extended 48+ hours. Although I had to re-do most of the apps, settings, and home pages, I was still thrilled about the

length of the battery life ( charging twice a day for a light user like me and not charging for 48 hours).

However, it lasted only a week. I am back to charging two or three times a day.

Now I hate to do a reinstall and screw up my contacts again and loose apps and settings.

Sony has to to something to fix this.

Looks like that it is the mobile radio service that needs more power after that update. I don't use the phone but the mobile radio service used 13% power. Plz fix that

Since update 24.5.A.0.575 my phone is heating and fast battery drain only under mobile data network, no problems using wi-fi. I don't know if, in this case, is necessary to try a reset using Xperia Companion, it seems more a problem of the updated radio module with this firmware. Any suggestion?

They are useless telling you to perform software repair, it does nothing but it is a waste of time. Basically it is a software issue and Sony people know it but they don't know how to fix it and admitt it. Shame on you Sony.
