Xperia Z3+ won't start after newest update 32.2.A.5.11

Hello!

I've updated today my Xperia Z3+with the newest software release:

32 2 A 5 11

The Phone itself asked for it, but after downloading and installing it, the phone is now a BRICK!!!

It doesn't even turn on the Led while plugged in to the charger!!!

Already try using the reset button next to the sim card but nothing happened.

I am running out of ideas

connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2-3 hours

I am sorry to hear about this issue.

Please do try @uliwooly's suggestion as it does help most of the time. If you have no luck with it, try a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Hello!

First of all, thanks for your time.

I've already tried uliwoolo's advice, and also follow the steps in Sony webpage, but nothing happened. The charger is not even warm!! I do not want to believe it but I am starting to think that the phone is dead!!

I can not try the Xperia Companion repair because the phone doesn't even charge! It has been plugged in for hours and not even the LED is on!!!

Sony Argentina give me the Technical support, so I will give it a try.

Anyway, if I have to pay any additional money for this, I would be really, really angry.

It is unbelievable that Sony launches updates with this kind of issues!!!

I will keep you posted guys, for now, I highly suggest you all NOT to update your phone, at least not via your phone.

Hello there!

So, the phone is still useless!

Today I took it to the official support in Argentina, hope during this week to have their feedback.

Still, I had to pay to them for at least checking the phone.....
Hope they have good news....

Exactly the same thing just happened to me,
Left it to update, came back and it was off, holding buttons either results in a constant red LED or a flashing one.

Not detected by PC Companion and can't find the repair software option, pretty pissed off to be honest

Hello guys,

I took to the official support in Argentina. They told me they must re-load the system software.

The only trouble is.... the cost is USD100!!!!

I'm done with this phone:

Temperature issue, almost burn your ear after playing a game or even a long phone call
Battery drain, befoure Kit Kat, just listening to music drain from 75% to 40% in 20 minutes
"Self destruction" due to software update SUGGESTED by Sony.

Done with Sony and Xperia, guess this will be my last post here.

Using PC Companion to repair the phone does not work because it is not recognised when plugged in to the computer

Yeap, the system software is crashed.

My phone doesn't even charge!

When blocked by "My Xperia", for example, PC Companion can recognize it because the phone starts.

I believe that's why we can not repair with the PC.

Guess the only solution for you is taking the phone for maintenance like me

That's it!

The phone is officialy dead! Like a brick!

It will perfectly work to hold my papers on windy days for sure!

Not even the official Support recommended by Sony could fix it. :smileyangry::smileyshocked:

What is more, they didn't do it for free, I have to pay for a broken phone!

Still waiting for Sony to say something, this is a shame!!!!
