HELP HELP HELP - CANNOT SWITCH OFF 'TALK BACK' - PHONE JAMMED!

I switched on this idiotic 'Talk back' thing on my Xperia Z5 completely by mistake, & my phone has gone insane - I can't do anything with it; can't unlock it; can't access anything; everything I touch I just get this stupid woman's voice naming everything I touch - she keeps saying 'screen off' 'ringer silent' ok button' - I cannot even unlock the phone to try to turn the idiot off. I think it's got jammed in the 'tutorial' mode. Aaaarrrrgh! I'm going mad here; I tried turning it off & in again but it made no difference. Please PLEASE can anyone tell me how to turn this stupid thing off?!

(How could anyone design a feature that is impossible to switch off?!)

use 2 fingers to pull down the notification bar > accessibility > talkback > off

@AliWonder Calm down. To move around in talkback mode, use two fingers. Double tap to confirm something or to open a setting.

Thanks so much @alexdon! HOW on earth is anyone supposed to know to use 2 fingers?! It's like some kind of horrible game!

Ok I used 2 fingers to get the notifications screen, but I still can't unlock the phone or access the settings screen? & when I touch anything in the notifications the stupid woman starts talking at me again!

I'm trying to double tap things but she just keeps naming the thing I'm tapping like some stupid child..

I don't know how to explain things better, there are other threads on this subject, you just need to follow the rules. Double tap each key to insert the password.

Thanks @Alexdon; I finally managed to turn it off, after a struggle. I've never come across anything so stupid and badly designed; how can it be so difficult to switch it off?...! I'd like to wipe it off the phone completely if I could..!

By default you cannot remove the service, but make sure never to go on that part of accesibility any time soon. :smileysmileythumbsup:

stupid phone i am having my blood pressure shot up by this talk back feature cant switch it off....tried it everything except crashing it on the floor....pl help!!!
