System icon missing

I have noticed for a while now that I lack a "signal strength" system icon. It's not turned off on the settings menu (it's not even showing in there) I can see if I have "3" or not when I swipe down the menu from the top of the screen but it doesn't tell me how strong my mobile signal is.

Any suggestions?

I've been searching for this for ages and I finally gave up to post here and have just now found the answer.... It's in "System UI Tuner"

Welcome to the community. Thank you for this information.

In case anyone is wondering, to enable the UI Tuner, swipe down the quick settings menu, then tap and hold the gear icon on the top right for about 5 seconds. When you release it you will be given the option to enable the UI tuner. You can disable it by performing the same steps.
