User Role Profile Image Disappears

Whenever i add a picture to my profile, after a restart, it Disappears. Any idea why this is happening?

Do you have the option to keep contacts up to date?

Not sure that is related. When I go into Settings > Users, my profile as the Owner of the phone is there. If I select my profile it opens an option for me to edit my name and to add a picture by either selecting an image or taking a photo. The name will stay correct but after a period of time (and I believe a minute or so after a restart) that image i associated with my user profile disappears.

Go under google+ app, swipe from the edge of the screen to get the options drawer, select settings. From there, tap your account and scroll down to contacts. Tap there and enable the option.

Also, if the option is enabled, you might have stamina turned on which could stop the app from syncing.

No luck. It doesn't seem to be related to Google+ in any way. This is an issue of the phone itself. The phone allows for "guest" users to be setup. But as the owner of the phone, I can edit my name and add a photo (or image) which will appear in the notitification bar when I swipe down. Setting this up is fine. However, after a restart, the name stays associated with my user profile as the owner but the image disappears.

It's a minor thing but frustrating never the less.

And, one more thing, Stamina is not enabled on the phone.

I haven't been able to recreate this issue, do you have an antivirus or cache cleaning apps?

Tried safe mode and no luck. Still happening. I took screenshot but not sure how I can attach them here in the forum.

Can't reproduce it too, sorry. You can try creating another user and see if it gets set successfully and make that new user the default one.

Sorry I have been able to get back to you regarding this. I video screened captured what I am experiencing so you can see it for yourselves. Really would appreciate any suggestions as to what is going on. In the videos (I recorded three separate ones to showcase the sequence) you will see that I can add an image to my user (owner) account. This is visible in the upper right corner of the screenwhen I swipe from the top. But, after a restart, the image disappears.

This is really strange and haven't seen something similar before.

Can you remove all the accounts and add them again?

If I go to Settings > Users, the only account in there is mine as the owner. This cannot be deleted...at least, from that location. Are you referring to every account I have and deleting these (i.e. whatsapp, yahoo, twitter, google, etc.)?

@Waddyman Under settings - accounts and sync. I don't have other suggestions beside a software repair using Xperia Companion if the first idea fails.

Props to @shotfirer. I didn't notice this small detail but on my phone, the myself contact is linked to my google account and therefore the photo is synced when keep contacts up to date is checked.

On my phone when I'm editing this contact it's marked as "Device only, no backup" (I don't know, why). I think that's the cause of the problem.

Mine too, but its detected as the owner by having the gmail account among the personal email.
